Jennie McAlpine, who plays Coronation Street's Fiz Stape, has revealed that she is planning to open her own restaurant in Manchester.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Jennie says she is going into business
with her boyfriend Chris Farr to launch the restaurant in Manchester
city centre. She says: “Ever since we’ve met, we’ve talked about the idea of opening our
own restaurant non-stop, to do something as a little team together. People often ask us if we are going to get married, but I actually
think this is more of a commitment to do something like this together.”
Jennie's boyfriend Chris previously ran a restaurant in Eccles and he'll oversee the
day-to-day running of the business, while Jennie will be there as much
as she can in between her Street commitments.
The couple have chosen a site on Old Bank Street near St Ann’s Square
and plan to call it Annie’s, with plans to launch the business in the
autumn.
