Helen Worth sets the Turkish dolphins free

Animal lover: The soap star has supported the campaign since it began two years agoHelen Worth, who plays Coronation Street's Gail McIntyre, has been campaigning for two years to set free two dolphins who were rescued from a swimming pool in Turkey.

The Daily Mail today has pictures of Helen with actress and wildlife campaigner Virginia McKenna OBE as Helen opened the gate to freedom for the dolphins to swim out into the Aegean Sea.

Helen is a patron of the Born Free Foundation, an international wildlife charity working throughout the world to stop individual wild animal suffering and protect threatened species in the wild.

"When I first saw them in that hell of a pool, I wondered if they would survive,' she explained. "It's been the most heart-wrenching journey with so many challenges but each and every one of them has been overcome by the team, and most importantly, by Tom and Misha themselves."
