Tommy Duckworth's return to Coronation Street will cause chaos for lovers Tina and Graeme. Ex-Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain will play Tommy Duckworth when he returns to the Street and tries to steal sexy Tina from lovable Graeme, played by Michelle Keegan and Craig Gazey.
A show insider told The People: “Tina and Graeme didn’t count on Jack and Vera’s grandson rocking the boat. It’s going to be a great storyline. The viewers adore Graeme but Tommy definitely has some of his dad Terry’s cheeky charm. Chris and Michelle will sizzle together on screen.”
In the story, Tommy does not know his grandad Jack has died until he arrives back in the Street.

Sounds dire. Why wouldn't he know Jack had died? Surely Tyrone would have let the Hortens know and he did go to Blackpool to scatter the ashes. Wouldn't he have contacted them? Feels like they're just scratching their heads and trying to decide what they're going to do with the character who has very little connection with the Street now Jack has gone.
I already hate this character and he's not put in an apperance yet. I knew they wouldn't leave Tina and Graeme together :(
Why?! Writers why?! Surely you can think of something better than this?
Dreadful! can't they leave well enough alone. Why doesn't he go off with Tracy Barlow?
He's gorgeous - about time we got some new eye-candy
At this rate, there won't be ANY couples left on The Street! And why portray Graeme as the nice guy who gets pushed aside? I hope he fights and wins for his love. Mind, I'm not crazy about Tina.
And I agree with Tvor that there's no way young Ducky wouldn't have known about Jack's death, unless he's on drugs or something.
Terry knew about Jack's death - surely he would have told his son. Perhaps they aren't on speaking terms?
>:( it says he TRIES to split them up. but will the deffinetly split? i hope not because i love them! <33
I'm glad/surprised I'm not the only one who isn't happy about this! I'd love if he tried to split them up and failed, but I don't know if the writers can resist staying away from the "hot" couple that Tommy/Tina would apparently be. I hope they keep Tina and Graeme together, especially since they haven't been a couple that long and I agree that Graeme deserves to get the girl for once.
I think Chris Fountain will be a good addition to the show, but I hope this won't be his main storyline as I doubt he'd be well liked given how popular Graeme is.
Another youngster - I can see where they're coming from, but I really don't think it's going to work for Corrie. Not for me anyway.
You would have thought he might have checked that his Granddad was okay after it was reported on the national news that a tram had fallen on the street. It's probably an address he'd remember, even if not because it was his Grandparents' home then maybe because it was the place where his mum was run over...
I have to say, I never liked Tina in the past, but she;s really come into her own since she's been behind the bar in the Rovers - she's been great in scenes with Rosie and Tracey.
why do the insiders and scriptwriters always consider the break up or attempted breakup of relationships to be "great news". We haven't had one marriage in the history of the Street that hasn't has an affair expect perhaps the Bishops and Ernest died before he could!!
it seem that the writers of corrie(been watching for more
Than 20 years) just don't like to have a couple have a happy and normal life, referring to Tina and Grame, and many before. If you need a plot line have another murder.
