The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Corrie and a dishevelled Nina calls in the cafe. Roy’s pleased to see her but Carla’s concerned. Nina calls at the cafe again and admits she’s starving and short of money. Roy offers to help her out but Nina refuses to take his money. Meanwhile Beth says that she caught Nina going through the factory bins and Roy is perplexed. He realises that Nina is in trouble.
She settles down in a doorway but is frightened off by a gang calling her names. Roy and Carla are worried to discover she moved out of her flat weeks ago. They are thrilled to find her at the cafe and she confesses she has been homeless and accepts Roy’s offer of the sofa to sleep on.
