Thank heavens for sick relatives living away from the Street to offer an explanation for a character's absence. Roy will disappear to look after Sylvia who hasn't been mentioned for a very long time. Predictions for future leaves of absence: David and Martin; Leanne and Toyah; Sean and Violet/Dylan; Kylie and Becky; Eileen and Julie. Thankfully, Eileen's departure was more original.

Why is Kevin's and Anna's storyline written as though they're having an affair that has to be kept 'secret'from Sally?!It's ridiculous, they not need her 'permission or approval.
I wonder who is babysitting Jack while his father is on these dates?

Sophie probably gets to mind Jack.

I agree, why are they trying to make out that Kevin and Anna are doing something wrong? It's so silly. All of the conjured stories at the moment make little sense to me. There was NO reason for Carla to go off the deep end about Johnny being her father. She never liked her own father or even knows where he is. So what is the big deal? At least she always liked Johnny. She did nothing wrong. And it happened almost 20 years before Aiden and Kate were even born, so what is their problem?
And really, how many more broken hips, legs etc.... do we have to hear about for these lame exit stories? These writers really need new blood and new story lines.

I dont mind if they date or whatever but pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee dont include sex scenes. My gag reflex just got over the time when Kevins shirtless hairy chest was moaning all over Molly during their affair. Gross.

Zagg, they have always said that Carla and Rob had a horrible, impoverished childhood at the hands of an alcoholic mother. If Johnny knew or even suspected and did little to help while raising his kids in relative comfort, then she has every right to be angry about the care and security she was denied. Aidan and Kate, for whom I have no sympathy, should be thrilled to have Carla as a sister, as they said they always liked her. Maybe that will come thru eventually, maybe not. Who's your daddy is such a soapy cliche there are no believable ways to write it.

Or maybe Eddie will come back? He's been mentioned a few times recently, plus Gary went to stay with him.

Oh I wish Eddie would come back - if only to stop Anna's little girl giggles every time she sees Kevin.

I think Anna and Gary will be a victim of Pat Phelan, Kevin will be a victim of Jenny, and the beat goes on. Blah, Blah, Blah.
