Corrie has picked up the most nominations on the Inside Soap Awards shortlist with 15 compared to 13 for EastEnders, 11 for Emmerdale and 9 for Hollyoaks.
This year's 'Best Actor' category will be contested by Coronation Street's Roy Neilson (Roy Cropper) and Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), EastEnders star Jake Wood (Max Branning) and Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle).
Coronation Street's Julie Hesmondhalgh (Hayley Cropper) and Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) will go up against Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning) from EastEnders and Emmerdale actress Lesley Dunlop (Brenda Walker).
Meanwhile, this year's 'Best Newcomer' prize is a battle between Coronation Street's Marc Baylis (Rob Donovan), EastEnders' Khali Best (Dexter Hartman) and Ben Hardy (Peter Beale) and Emmerdale's Laura Norton (Kerry Wyatt).

Don't watch any of the other soaps, but I just can't see Marc Baylis (Rob Donovan) winning. He's not a newcommer, first of all...
He's horrible, second of all. Must have the same smirking, errrr, acting coach as Kate Ford.
I would rather vote for baby Lily as best newcomer!
The networks set up these ridiculous competitions to generate interest and thus, ratings, which translate to advertising revenue. Viewers like to see that their favourites are "winners" in these "competitions". It reassures them that they made good choices. [Psychologists call it "confirmation bias".]
So everybody "wins"! But it's all MEANINGLESS!! If we refused to participate, these silly competitions and awards would stop!
Just wishing!
