Daniel O'Donnell visits Coronation Street

Irish folk singer Daniel O'Donell visited the Coronation Street set today, revealing that he's been a Corrie fan for years.

"It's just amazing to walk on the street," he told the official Coronation Street website at itv.com/corrie.

"I've been a fan of Coronation Street for many years, from Ena Sharples to today"

Speaking of his favourite Corrie moments, he said: "When Hilda and Stan got the mural - that was amazing. There are so many great memories from down through the years."

"Coronation Street has reflected life as life moves on, addressing different issues which reflect every day life."

"No matter how serious, how sad or how in depth the storyline is, you'll always get a laugh. That's a big part of the secret, there's light and dark in every show. I just think they have it perfect. It's always been my favourite soap."
