Corrie A-Z: H is for Hotpot

People have always presumed that Betty’s hotpot has been in the Rovers since she became barmaid in 1969. In fact, the hotpot didn’t make its debut until 1973. And for nearly 40 years, it has been an undisputed Corrie icon. Over the years, its future has been in the balance but has managed to survive on the pub menu – despite Alec Gilroy’s attempts to take it off! Even though Betty has passed away, the hotpot is still an integral part of the Rovers Return menu and still bears her name.
