FAYE TELLS AN AWFUL LIE. Faye’s still playing up and Anna tells Tim that for now it’s best he has no contact with her. Witnessing the exchange Brian tries to talk to Faye at school but when she claims that Anna hits her Brian’s aghast. With no choice he calls social services. How will they react to Faye’s allegations?
FIZ’S MEDDLING BACKFIRES. Fiz sets Chesney up with Katy at the cafe, hoping it will force them to talk. Chesney’s not happy about being tricked but agrees to hear Katy out. As she apologises for having her head turned by Ryan she insists it’s Chesney she loves. Will Ches be able to forgive her?
EILEEN DEBATES TAKING JULIE AWAY. When the tickets arrive for a holiday Eileen and Paul booked months ago she offers them to him. But due to start a new job Paul suggests Eileen take Julie instead.
Elsewhere after scattering Sunita’s ashes Dev admits he has to focus on his kids now and tells Sophie he plans to look for a nanny so he can return to work. Nick tells Mary no more theme nights at the bistro.

Anna went through the legal process and adopted Faye. That makes Anna Faye's mother. Faye's birth mother lost custody because she was a drug addict who could not provide a safe home. When she lost parental rights, she was no longer Faye's mother, although she did once give birth to her. Almost anyone can make a baby. It's very hard to adopt a child, few are selected. Adoptive families are created by choice and are just as real as biological ones.
Tim walked out on toddler Faye. That's child abandonment. Tim is only marginally respectful of Anna's boundaries. If Anna and Tim had been divorced, he would have strict, enforceable visitation. Why Anna had not brought in a lawyer and or counsellor earlier is beyond comprehension (except that this is Corrie).
Anna never hit Faye. Owen did. Faye lied. What Karl or anyone else did to another kid is irrelevant.
