I know Christmas has come and gone and so has the New Year but technically, the Christmas season doesn't end until Twelfth Night, January 6 so I couldn't resist posting this photo. I saw it on the Corrie Canuck blog here and they've graciously given me permission to repost it here.
Ken Barlow as
Ken, of course, was a traditional Father Christmas and tried to impart on his young charges the values of the season rather than just "want, want, want", much like Percy Sugden did several decades earlier.

Perhaps Peter should have let George take Simon and give him the home he wanted to after all, he seems to be more interested in his own sex life these days.
I'm afraid I must agree with you Looney Baloon!
I must say I have to agree Looney Baloon - and does George ever get to see Simon..? Can't remember how that story ended.
I wish George did take Simon away, I cannot stand the kid. And that storyline ended so stupidly with Simon running away from Blackpool and getting the bendy bus back to Coronation Street.
12th night is actually Jan 5th.
If you count 1 as the 25th, it brings you up to the 5th January. How do I know? that's my birthday!
When I was younger, my grandparents used to nickname me the 'twelfthnighter' ;-)
Ken was such a dog and so is Peter but it was fun to watch Ken squirm in his Santa suit.
