Becky McDonald left Coronation Street in some style last night and there's a special half-hour programme on TV tonight called Farewell Becky. It's on ITV1 at 7.30pm.
After six action-packed years on Coronation Street, Weatherfield is bidding an emotional farewell to one of Corrie’s most iconic characters, Becky McDonald.
With exclusive behind-the-scenes access and interviews with Katherine Kelly and Coronation Street cast, including Simon Gregson and Kate Ford, this programme looks back at Becky McDonald’s greatest moments and reveals how they came to our screens.
The character of Becky may have started out as a petty criminal but she went on to steal the hearts of the nation.
So, as viewers prepare to say farewell to one of the best loved characters in British soap, we follow Becky’s journey from her first appearance in a police station, through her many triumphs and traumas, ending with her emotional send off on the show.
We hear how Katherine made the character of Becky her own after coming into the show in 2006; where the inspiration for those outlandish costumes come from; and fellow actors reveal all on how Katherine doesn’t hold back when it comes to the fight scenes or even the soap’s more intimate moments!
Along the way the programme remembers the happy times with Steve, the heartbreak of not being able to have children and the heated battles with arch nemesis Tracy Barlow.
Farewell Becky, is narrated by Sally Lindsay, and includes interviews with Katherine Kelly, Simon Gregson, Kate Ford, Ryan Thomas, Julie Hesmondhalgh, David Neilson, and Paula Lane.

I am begging someone, anyone, to tell me the name of a song that was playing during this program. It was playing during the part where she says hello to her sister and has a heavy beat to it. I have been looking for this song title for over a year, having only heard the beat and a bit of the lyrics (not heard here but are sung by someone who sounds like Amy Winehouse and has a high-pitched verse (possible sample). Please! Anybody!
The title music was composed by Kev Curtis. He has a website and you can contact him; maybe he'll tell you.
