Favourite Corrie characters countdown - fourth poll

Hello all! Now, I hope you've voted in the second poll of ten because that is now officially closed. But you have until midnight next Tuesday to vote for two of your favourite characters in the third poll.

So, who's in our fourth poll?

Sally Webster - We've seen her grow from a teenager to being a mother to Rosie and Sophie. Married to Kevin for over 20 years, Sally is known for her various affairs and relationships. She has gone from barmaid to shop assistant to factory machinist and supervisor.

Alan Bradley - Rita's boyfriend in the late 80s. Originally introduced to be reunited with daughter Jenny, Alan became Corrie's first long term villain when he tried to kill and tormented Rita after she found about his evil deeds. He was memorably killed by a tram in Blackpool.

Fred Gee - The grumpy bespectacled pot-man of the Rovers. Hired by Annie Walker in 1975, he would stay in the job until being sacked in 1984. Although he was the only male member of staff, it didn't make a difference: Annie dominated him and both Bet and Betty ridiculed him. Fred is remembered for taking Bet and Betty in Annie's Rover that ended up in the lake!

Rosie Webster - The eldest of the Webster girls. Born in a taxi, Rosie gave up her education for a modelling career. She has had a string of boyfriends and is known for her somewhat unique view of life. She was kidnapped twice by John Stape.

Peter Barlow - The bigamist son of Ken and Valerie. Was brought up in Scotland after Val's death but since the 2000s has become a fixture on the cobbles. A bookie, he committed bigamy when he married both Lucy and Shelley in 2003. The father of Simon, he is now married to Leanne but is currently having an affair with Carla. Will it all end in tears?

Graeme Proctor - The lovable window cleaner who manged to become a boyfriend of Tina's! Originally David's cellmate, he became a hit with viewers and became a Street regular. Known for his cap and his window cleaning cart, he had quirky thoughts and managed to annoy Norris constantly! He left the Street with 'wife' Xin.

Have you got favourites in this six? Well vote for two them and we'll see where they'll be in the countdown!

Last time, I had to choose between Betty, Emily and Vera, which I did not want to do. I also like Leanne who was also on the list. This week, I don't want to vote for any of the characters. The likes of Alan Bradley, Fred Gee, Rosie Webster and Graeme Proctor don't make the top 600. Alan Bradley was a scumbag, Fred Gee wasn't significant even when he was in it and the last two are very minor blips to anyone who has watched the show more than 5 years.

But they seem to be great and popular characters. Alan Bradley was of course a scumbag, but he was still a great character - you hated him! The same could be said about Tricky Dicky or Tony Gordon. As for Fred, he was a comedic character who doesn't get the true recognition he deserves. In this poll, the recognition is shown. And the characters of Rosie, Peter, Graeme and Sally are hugely popular with fans. But if that's your opinion, I respect it. :)

Too many choices, CSC! How is a girl to decide?

Agree about Fred. And a few years ago I never would have thought I would be agonising about Rosie OR Graeme OR Peter OR sally....!

Great poll!

Remember you can vote for TWO so it's not that bad. I've tried not to pit the greats against each other but maybe there are exceptions! haha And thanks for the support! :)

Fred Gee and Alan Bradley for me.

Watching 1977 at the moment, and Fred is close to being Current Best.

I think the poll is great, I like having to think back to some of the characters...I look forwards to Tuesday's poll choices!

I loved Graeme, I was so sorry to see him leave. I think there would have so much more mileage in the character. I do hope he comes back one day.
