Remember it well, and Poor Kelly, was a very good actress but was got rid of for some reason, and they keep the Alahans!!!!
The Becky storyline was Kelly's last story; after that she was just relegated to a background character, which was a real shame. I remember when she started on the show, being hailed as 'the new Karen'... that didn't last long. Sometimes the storyliners just don;t know what to do with a character - solution: get new storyliners. There is no such thing as a character who has been worked out, it's just a question of placing them in new situations. A gobby, slightly self-obsessed character like Kelly should have been a gift to the writers. I don't blame Tupile for leaving one bit after being so underused. A failure of imagination in the storylining department.
I never liked Kelly (too negative a personality) but yes, she could have been interesting if they did more with her instead of using her as a spare part.
Becky was the character I preferred
and especially well done by this particular actress.
She`s the one I always looked for.
I`m not sure if it will be as interesting without this actress as Becky!!
I liked the way it ended though, since she did have to leave. A good lesson to learn.
