Find out why these Corrie weekly updates have been written for th'internet since 1995.
Sally snuggles up to freaky Frank this week and their cover's blown when Eileen and new girl Beth spot them snogging in the factory. Sally tells Frank she believes in his innocence: "I'm a good judge of character," she cooed. Oh, how we laughed on our sofa.
Another couple whose cover looks set to blow is Peter and Carla, or as I like to call them by their celebrity name, Carpet. Stella "come through to the back" Price tells Peter she knows there's summat going on between him and Carla when she spots the necklace she thought Peter had bought for Leanne sitting snugly around Carla's neck. Peter denies and lies. But Stella, desperate to keep her profile as high as possible by meddling in every other character's storylines so that she'll have more screen-time than a whole flock of Jack's pigeons ever did, refuses to believe him and keeps her beady little eyes peeled in the bar.
Eileen's fed up, again. Tired of being taken for granted by Jason, of eaten frozen turkey burgers for tea, of being on her own and desperate for a bloke, tells Paul that she wants him. When does she want him? Now! What does she want him for? Owt! Owt! Owt! Paul's a bit shocked but sees there could be something in what Eileen proposes, if only he could stop loving his wife Lesley so much, but there seems little chance. He cares too much and dashes home from a meal with Eileen in the Bistro when he gets a call to say Lesley's been asking a neighbour where he's gone.
The feud between Kirsty and Tina hots up. Kirsty finds out Tina's going to be driving Rita's car and arranges for the cops to pull her over for speeding. But it's not Tina the cops pull over for speeding, it's Rita whose driving instead. She was doing 33 in a 30 zone and gets hauled down to the cop shop. Sorry, but hang on till I put my anorak on. Just hang on. It's on now. Didn't the researchers know that the Association of Chief Police Officers have an official formula for calculating a speeding offence. It allows a leeway of 10% plus 2mph so Rita shouldn't have been clocked at all. But what do I know, I'm just a big lass. Tina knows Kirsty's behind Rita's speeding fine and when she confronts her, Tyrone listens at the door to hear Kirsty brag and confess. Poor Tyrone, just when it looked like he'd found someone he could love after Molly popped her clogs, Kirsty turns out to be as nasty as everyone thinks that she is and Tyrone throws her out. But this won't be the last we see of Kompletely Krazy Kirsty, WPC from Hell.
Down at Streetcars, Becky and Steve are at odds and he's being really nasty, still refusing to believe her about making Tracy lose the twins. But Becky's got plans for Streetcars and has dinner with Danny in an attempt to get a cab contract for his posh hotel in town. Danny, you'll remember, was the one who saw Tracy in distress on the night of his meeting with Steve and Becky at the hotel. The very same night that Tracy went loopy over finding out Becky and Steve were together at the hotel. So loopy in fact, that she had to be rushed to hospital, where she lost the twins. It's only a short matter of time before Danny tells this to Becky and the truth will come out about Tracy's miscarriage.
And finally, at the corner shop, it's Amber's 21st and Dev buys his daughter a car. Sunita is officially not best pleased that her husband has spent so much money on the gift and storms around the shop in a bad jumper and a huff.

Great updates hahahaha! Krazy Kirsty is growing on me and I would of loved to see her bringing down Tina, the miserable cow, and Tracy flamin' Barlow. Natalie is a great actress and plays the character really well.
LMAO - 'Carpet'...! Agree Kirsty actress is good but I still don't like the character and especially with Tyrone - hope she falls off the deep end and takes Tracy with her.
At Christmas, I did not realise the snow was symbolic. Just as Weatherfield was the only place in the UK to experience a white Christmas, it’s also the only area not feeling the effects of austerity. Jobs are so plentiful that a candidate as terrible as Beth can easily get one. How the millions of unemployed must have enjoyed that. And there’s more….
Less than a year ago, the Factory was days from bankruptcy. Two months ago, there was no work at all. A quick shake of Michelle’s magic dust and now business is booming for two factories and both are taking on new staff! And Carla and Michelle are such a brilliant team who deserve the success. Carla is halfway through interviewing potential machinists, indulging in a touch of illegal age discrimination, before either she or Michelle remember there is a former employee looking for work just across the street!
After the tram crash, Dev was selling everything and desperate for money. With shops across the country closing, I worried that Dev would not be able to make a living out of the Corner Shop. Now, it's so profitable that Dev can buy Amber a car as a birthday present! Becky’s vodka binges must be really lucrative!
Steve was also penniless, but miraculously he can now repay all his debts to Lloyd plus effectively buy him out of Streetcars and gift that share to Becky. He’s so rich that he can risk losing a lucrative contract by playing childish games and appear unconcerned about there not being enough business to fund a tea break, never mind keep him, Tracyluv and Ames in winter holidays to Brighton. It’s convenient that Jim told Steve not to visit him in the Big House, because Jim might be a little bit miffed that he went to all that trouble of robbing a bank when it wasn’t necessary.
Two of my three local pubs have closed, but punters still pack out the Rovers. That’s fortunate for St Stella of the Snug. Not for her the worry of running promotions, or ensuring the customers are served quickly. St Stell can concentrate on the most important part of her job: taking people she barely knows into the back and interfering in their lives.
I confess to a teensy bit of envy about how easily money comes to those in the Street, but there is a silver lining. I have a friend who is a Police Officer, so I no longer have to worry about committing a motoring offence. If I ever do get caught, my friend will be able to get me off. Wonderful!
How we sniggered when Fallon was abducted by aliens in the Colbys. Then, we congratulated ourselves on the realism of our TV and derided the escapism of American soap. Sadly it can’t be long now before a whirling, brightly lit metal object hovers over the cobbles and Collinson’s master plan is revealed. He’s turning Coronation Street into a Fantasy like Dr Who. Still, if the aliens flatten the Faktry, call home the Alahans, and lock their tractor beam on Tracyluv, Nick, Tina, Sophie, Peter and Carla, St Stella, Frank, Sean, Kirsty, Michelle, Katy, Paul and Dr Matt, it won’t be all bad.
Well said Adam! Frosty couldnt have put it better himself. While we have to have a bit of poetic licence with soaps, Coronation Street seems to be spinning onto another planet altogether where also if you are hovering at death's door at Whethy General or doubtful if you will ever walk again like Pater Barlow, you will within days or weeks make a Llourds type recovery. I think we would all love to move there.
I have to say that there is one positive note on the show - DANNY!...love him and Becky together. Sad that Becky will be leaving just as she seems to have finished that manic phase and reconciled with Kylie - there could have been good storylines with the two of them. Looking forward to seeing Steve get his when he finds out Becky was telling the truth all along about pushing Tracy down those stairs and realizing he has lost Becky to Danny.
Hahaha. Carpet.
