Exclusive interview with Corrie director Nickie Lister

Coronation Street fan Jack Lewin is the very talented chap who makes the Lego models of Coronation Street. If you haven't seen his work, follow him on Twitter, he's great.

Jack is a student at the University of Salford and recently interviewed Corrie Director, Nickie Lister.  He's very kindly allowed us here on the Coronation Street Blog to host the interview for fans to listen to. Our thanks go to Jack, to Nickie and to the Corrie press office.

And now, it's over to Jack:

"I’ve just started studying Television and Radio at the University of Salford, and one of my first assignments was to record a short interview with someone who has an interesting story to tell. Being so close to the Corrie studios, I asked a few contacts and managed to get an interview with Nickie Lister, a great director who was behind the emotional portrayal of Kylie Platt’s death back in 2016.

"Part of the assignment brief was to get some background noise to establish a location to the interview (known as ‘actuality’ in the industry), and I got an amazing opportunity to go on set and observe Nickie at work in a mobile gallery, directing some interesting Christmas scenes! Not only did this make for a great interview it was also an amazing experience and insight into my dream career…"
