Kerri Quinn interview: Vicky tackles two-timing Robert

What’s going through Vicky’s head when she flies at Robert for leading a double life and orders him to leave?

I think in that moment her whole world crumbles. She has said many times about raising Tyler alone and the difficulties she faced and all of a sudden this perfect little world with Robert has been ripped from under her. She is beyond devastated.

How much did she believe she would have her happy ending and how much did it mean to her?

I believe Vicky felt this was the real deal. Robert is a good man in her eyes, she has had no reason to doubt him or believe he’s capable her hurting her to this extent. She feels abandoned yet again. It’s brutal.

Vicky and Michelle are both feisty characters. If Vicky was to take on Michelle, who do you think would come out on top and why?

I would say they'd both give as good as the other. The only thing I will say is Vicky has come through more and would probably fight as dirty as required. She could throw a good dig so my money's on Vicky.

It’s hard not to feel sorry for Vicky, do you think this revelation about Robert could tip her over the edge or is she a fighter?

No, I think Vicky is damaged but emotionally strong, she'll come back fighting. I think Robert or anyone would regret betraying Vicky.

What response have you had from viewers about Vicky?

It has been a mixed bag. The danger with Vicky is that she came in to the show as a bit of a baddie so I am hoping this redeems her. It has been a tough mountain to climb but I’ve grown very fond of her and will continue to defend her. Some people have made their minds up from an early stage that they don’t like her but I’ve had some gorgeous comments about the role and the longevity of her on the street too.

What advice would you give Vicky?

The thing with Vicky is she has a huge heart and she is capable of being kind and loving - we've seen that with Robert. She does get very front footed in social situations. My advice would be not assume everyone is out to get you. She should open herself up a bit more to trust and then maybe she'd have more friends.
