Tony? Tony who? Wherever he's gone to, Liz has more on her mind than Tony next week when a new fella walks into the pub and into her life.
The previews for next week's Coronation Street says that Liz receives flowers from Tony who tries to grovel his way back into her life. When Tracy finds out about the flowers, she tells Liz how Tony paid two thugs to put the frighteners on her.
Liz meets Erica for lunch at the
Bistro and is flattered by the attentions of two brewery employees. Nick
is jealous when Erica flirts with Paddy, while Liz and Dan get on
famously.
Sean is surprised to see Liz back at the Rovers with a new
man.
Am I the only Corrie fan who's already named him "Dan, Dan, the Brewery Man?"
Dan will be played by The Bill actor Andrew Paul. Find out more about him here.

She doesn't let the grass grow under her feet, does she?
Presumably he won't be in the show for long.....well he's not a failed talent show singer or an ex-Emmerdale/Casualty star.
But of course, no woman of Corrie can stand on her own unless their a weirdo..Mary.
I've said it before, I think these writers do not like women. They make them out to be either weirdoes, skanks or desperate for a man. Even Carla, whom everyone thinks is so strong and independent has a bad history with stealing other people's men. I get that this is a soap, but come on. So now, what are we in for? The Cougar Show with Liz and Erica making a play for every maybe single guy that walks in the door? God forbid, they should be without a man for 5 minutes.
And Nick is jealous? Ugh....give me a break.
His middle name is Rebound.
And Tony's side of the bed not even cold. Liz is a tart and that is that.
And Tony's behaviour is ok because he is a man, is that what I am reading? What is a term for a man behaving like a "tart"? When men behave this way, it is 'jack the lad' when a woman does she is a 'tart' or worse. Give over...
I don't think that's what you're reading at all. No one said that or intimated that. How you came to that summation is beyond me. I am pretty sure everyone would agree that Tony is a dog.
Give over...
I agree that it does not appear that anyone is saying Tony is okay but Liz is a tart. However, it is pretty shocking how quickly she's moved on, since she was so broken up over what Tony did she was shouting down the phone and smashing the crockery. Although I will say that on surface alone, at least this new man seems to be more Liz's age and has the same industry in common.
