The role of Steve's counsellor is played by actor Philip Martin Brown. Check out his website here. His website says that he's only going to be in Corrie for two episode.
He has been in Coronation Street before, back in 2005 he played the role of Detective Inspector Pinnor, again for two episodes, investigating the murder of Tommy Harris.

Of course the counsellor is reunited with Katie McGlynn (Sinead) who played 'Scooter' also in Waterloo Road.
I have always enjoyed his work. He is a wonderful actor! X

My apologies (above). The character that Katie played in Waterloo Road was called 'Scout' !
I thought WOW the Rovers looks good with the original sash windows Steve and Michelle where wistfully starting through and tasteful decor but alas it wasnt the Rovers at all - it was the Therapists house.
