What's next for Fiz and Tyrone?

I'm chuffed to little mint balls that Fiz and Tyrone have made their way back together. There have been times in the past that I didn't think they would be suited back together but as time went on and both struggled through terrible and hurtful relationships, they grew up Their friendship never suffered though was sometimes forgotten by the writers.

While Tyrone has lots of mates on the Street, none of them were willing to stick their oars in the muck that was the disaster of Kirsty Soames. Fiz was more than willing to help her old friend at the expense of her own safety! Inevitably, they fell back in love and once Kirsty was packed off to prison, they reunited properly and I couldn't be happier.

What's next for the new family? Will there be another baby in the future? With Hayley's imminent demise, the only stable couple on the Street will be no more. I think that Tyrone and Fiz will be the up and coming replacement and I think they're well suited. They'll probably row, they'll have their ups and downs but ultimately, their love will keep them together long term.

I thought this morning about whether they will continue to live in the Duckworth house because for all of us longtime watchers, it will ever remain thus named. On one hand, it would be a nice continuation with tradition, where Tyrone was so close to Jack and Vera. But on the other hand, they have two little children with the possibility of a third down the road. Things will get crowded even though we viewers realize that most of the houses have elastic walls.

That brings me across the road to Number 6 where the Windass Armstrong lot live. Number 6 has long been a transient house. The owners or renters have never stayed there very long so maybe it's fair to assume that at some point Owen will sell up and they'll all move away. Some of you out there may plead for this outcome. They aren't my favourite family by any means but aside from a low level constant annoyance (with spikes for that dreadful Katy) they mostly fly under my radar. I can see Fiz and Tyrone buying Number 6 to have a bit more room and a proper garden for the little ones. I'd only worry that this could spell the beginning of the end for them considering the history of the house's occupants. Yes, maybe they should stay where they are, under the angel wings of Jack and Vera.

There has to be a wedding in their future though I don't picture Fiz in a white frothy dress coming down the aisle in a church on Chesney's arm. Fizz Dobbs has a strangely cute ring to it! It almost sounds a bit like Sean's nickname for her, "Fizz Bomb" doesn't it? Anyway, I predict the wedding will be a low key registry office do, and we may not even get to see the actual ceremony. Perhaps they'll elope while on holiday. It would be a bit of an anticlimax really, after all they've been through.

Whatever happens, I really, really hope the powers that be don't break up this lovely little family. I hope they do let them take the Cropper mantle and carry on the tradition of having that one stable couple that everyone can point to as a good example of how to do it right.

I totally agree! Let Fizz and Tyrone live a long and happy life together and raise their little ones to be wonderful people. We have had enough bad blood on the street! I stopped watching for some time because things got so stupid. I am back now...

They are the only people on the Street that I would pick to become the long-standing couple. I really hope that the writers don't try to come up with crazy story lines for them or have them breaking up and getting back together over and over again. I want to see a couple on the Street that is stable.

Maybe they could have some foster kids, Fizz has turned into such a wonderful woman, it would be nice to see her give a child the chance she got.

I'm so with you on this one, I've waited a long time for the writers to see what I saw in Fiz and Tyrone, it's about we had a couple who can show that love conquers most things, I'd like them to prove that when you work together and trust each other you can make anything work. But of course, this is a soap, so who am I kidding!

Let's not forget, Kirsty will get out of prison at some point, and for all her faults, she loved Ruby, so I can see a battle for custody coming up in the distant future. But I too hope Fiz & Tyrone stay together through whatever they throw at them. I really hope infidelity doesn't feature in their storylines though. It has been done to death, and hope the writers can come up with problems a bit more original than that.

I absolutely agree. If those writers split them up with a stupid out of character affair, I will be pissed right off. I think that is one of the downfalls of this show. The writers have made way too many cheaters out of the characters because they can't come up with a storyline. I know it happens, but c'mon the whole world does not cheat.
Here's hoping they give Ty and Fizz a long happy-ish life on the street.

Fiz Dobbs? Plenty of jokes to be found there! I hope Fiz and Tyrone stay together and their relationship signals a new back-to-basics Corrie. I can see plenty of fireworks on the way, especially if the dreaded mother-in-law (either, actually) decides to pay a visit. Roy will become a surrogate grand-dad and that will lend a bitter-sweet element. I'm sure they will move house because they will want a bigger garden for the children and perhaps for some pigeons! I said in an earlier post, in time to come, maybe a new street with larger houses will be tacked on to the set. Fiz and Tyrone could move to a house there if they don't fancy one on the Street.

Couldn't agree more! I like them together & think they both deserve a bit of happiness & stability.

Maybe Fiz and Tyrone and the kids can move into Sally's house. Sophie needs to get herself out on her own and then Sally will be left all on her own, she should sell the house to them. The little girls would have a great time playing in the backyard while Ty and Fiz watch from the conservatory.

Where would Sally go?
She's so proud of her house and 'consuurv-try', can't really see her settling for a small flat above a shop.

Completely agreed with your post. I too love Tyrone and Fizz together. To me they are the genuine characters (minus Roy and Haley) on the street and both have become good people that corrie needs more of. I could see them having a simple civil ceremony before Hayley dies, but who knows. Looks like Carla will be doing that instead.....

Would love the writers to put together a wedding for Fiz and Ty with Haley as her maid of honour before she goes. It would be so touching. Or maybe Haley and Roy get married again - double ceremony. Sweet.

I met both actors and they are great reps for Corrie. They are kind, funny, and hospitable. They both gave me a cuddle as if I were a long lost Auntie.
I love seeing them have a somewhat happy ending.....but this is a soap. They will never have complete peace.
