Eric's theme is the name that fans have given to the original Coronation Street theme, and also the extended theme that was sometimes used for exits such as Karen's exit. It is named after the creator of the original theme, Eric Spear.
I think it would be a great sign of respect to bring back the original theme for that one episode, just to make things feel special. I hope Corrie add a few extra touches to the whole episode, just to give it the feeling that it's not just a tribute to Betty Williams, but also Betty Driver.

Wow. I came up with the name when i created a thread on Digital Spy.
Thanks for carrying it on.
Lets hope it returns.
It's a great name for it I think, it credits the original creator too :P
It should never have been changed in the first place!
Yes corrie should use this theme for Bettys funeral and it should also be the full version. In my opinon they should never have changed it, but i guess we have to move with the times, but to use it for Betty Turpin's funeral would be a fitting tribute to Betty Turpin and Betty Driver. RIP Betty xx
Well I too think that would be a great idea for the programme ending Betty's funeral.
I guess that would be a first for C.S., honouring a departing character in this way, and I hope they do that.
It would be a great sign of respect to bring back the original theme anyway. I've just not taken to this latest one. If they do use it for Betty's funeral, perhaps she could rest easy instead of turning in her grave.
I plead to TPTB to scrap the current theme tune and go back to the belting one from before. This one lacks any gusto and oomph. Would be lovely to show a sign of respect to Betty but would love it back full time anyway.
.....Oh and the original gordon would be a nice fitting touch too.
