Ex-Corrie landlady visits Teenage Cancer Unit

Denise Welch, who played Coronation Street pub landlady Natalie Barnes, visited children undergoing treatment for cancer at the teenage cancer unit, at the RVI, in Newcastle.

The £1.7m unit was opened earlier this year and provides care for 13 to 18-year-olds from the North-East and Cumbria.

Read more and watch a video of Denise's visit to the Teenage Cancer Unit here.

Ugh, I think this is a lovely thing, but I also think it's terrible that things like a "teen" (or children) cancer unit even exists! Just shouldn't happen :(

Sadly, it happens to the most wonderful people. But this particular unit which Denise visited is an amazing place and I know they're doing some wonderful work there.
