Adam Rickitt returns to TV soap

Fans of Adam Rickitt will be happy to hear that the New Zealand soap Shortland Street, which he's been acting in, has been picked up by Living TV to air in the UK later this month.

The show will be given a daytime slot on Living and is to be transmitted in double-bills on weekdays at 3pm from Monday August 23rd. The instalments will start from the point that former Coronation Street actor Adam Rickitt joined the programme in the role of Kieran Mitchell.

So, for those Corrie fans in New Zealand who've seen Shortland Street - is it any good?

Well I can say that Yes he is!! He gets into some very dodgy stuff, comes in with a bang and heads out with that same bang!!
Hope you enjoy our kiwi soap and Keirans antics.

"Shorty" Street has become a kiwi classic. Kieren was deliciously BAD! What an exit!

Well I for one don't! And it's not often I say that about seeing naked men, believe me!

You'd have thought Adam might have matured a bit in the years since he was in Corrie, but having seen him on Loose Women the other day, he seems to be even more "wet" now than he was back then, if that is possible.

And he told the viewers that it was Boris Johnson that suggested he become an MP... which explains that ludicrous idea.

Thank God the part of Nick has already been re-cast. The new one's not that great, but at least we don't have to put up with this simpering fool again.

Agree John, though i do think Ben Price is doing a good job of portraying slimy arrogant Nick.

Adam is pretty wet isn't he. What a simpering smile in the pic.

Compared to Ricketts, Ben Price is Laurence Olivier!
