Daft Coronation Street story of the day time - The Sun reckons that Richard Hillman will be returning to Corrie. Well, sort of. The paper says that actor Brian Capron has been lured back to play Richard Hillman's evil brother for the Christmas spin-off DVD that stars Curly Watts and Reg Holdsworth.
In our Coronation Street blog poll, The Oggies 2010, Richard Hillman was voted Nastiest Villain ever!

Funnily enough, Brian was at the Coronation Street studios last Thursday so there could be some truth to it!
I'm sure there's a market for these special DVDs put out, but they sound a bit far-fetched to me.
Thanks, but I prefer 'original' Corrie rather than 'spin offs'.
As for the 'evil twin' story, Richard Hillman was brilliant as "Richard" but IMO to mess with success isn't always a good idea.
Hillman has an Evil brother? Does anyone see the irony there? Why emphasize Evil? Why brother? Richard always said he was an only child. I also don't believe for a minute that he was Alma's cousin.
No, I don't think he was related to Alma either. And remember, they never found his body in the submerged car. Only much later was it discovered - away from the car.
As this is one of those wacky DVD's where anything goes, maybe he survived, went on to kill his identical twin, took his identity on, and really is Richard Hillman. Cue spooky music when he says something so personal to one of the characters that only Richard Hillman could possibly have known of it...
Richard Hillman was not as bad as everybody makes out. He only got difficult when someone crossed him. Otherwise he was fine.
As a PS to my previous email, the word 'fine' is not really appropriate as he did do some bad things. Perhaps it should be left that when he was not up to something nefarious he could be quite personable. How's that?
Psychopaths are often superficially charming Anonymous; that's how they blend into society, as Richard Hillman did.
I think the plot for this dvd sounds absolutely ridiculous and it seems quite obvious that the general public must go for this sort of thing, therefore it's a good money maker.
why have it as a spin off y cant he come back into the story line as l liked his part in corrie !!!!!!!!
