The Sun reports today that actor Geoffrey Hughes, who played Coronation Street's Eddie Yeats collapsed with pains at home on the Isle of Wight last Friday. And Doctors at Portsmouth's Queen Alexandra Hospital gave him the shock news that his prostate cancer has returned.
Geoffrey has never spoken about his cancer fight but has publicly supported cancer charities.

Sad news. I wish him all the best.
hello geoffrey get well soon wishing you speedy recovery from this and want to see you back on our tv from 2 of your biggest fans kazzy and dave
One of Corrie's great characters.
One of Britain's better actors too. Plus he's been in lots of shows and you don't get all that work unless you've got plenty to give.
Get well soon, mate.
Eddie Yates and Stan Ogden were the greatest comedy team that Corrie has ever had. Even after he cruised off into the sunset with Diamond Lil...he is long remembered. But wasn't he just great after Corrie in his role as Onslow...wonderful stuff. We are thinking of you Geoffrey. Get better soon.
