The police attempted to question Tracy who then ran off pretending she was just too upset about losing the babies to talk about it and there's been no mention of the police trying to talk to her ever since? Really?
Fiz is out of prison, we saw the lovely D.C. Redfearn making a few enquiries. Fiz is only out on bail until they investigate all of John's confessions, as I recall. What's going on there? No word yet if her conviction is being overturned. And Sally told her that Frank was hiring. She thanked Sally but did she actually get the job?
When Owen first dug the pond, he said he'd put a grill over it so Max wouldn't fall in. He never did though. Besides, it was apparently only the floor of the shed that was rotting. Owen. Builder. Couldn't he have just rebuilt it out of scrap wood?
If Eileen had a whole turkey and nobody to cook it for, why didn't she ask Brian and Julie? Brian would have been there in a shot, after Julie spent their dinner money on chickens for charity. I would think, her being so family-friendly, that she'd have been there at the merest sniff of a giblet!
They made a big deal about the Tram Crash anniversary and Leanne and Peter's anniversary, did they mention Hope's first birthday at all? Why didn't Fiz have a little cake for her or something?

Why would anyone build a pond in a mingy garden in a cold place? More importantly, why would they even think about putting a grill over their outdoor pond? The entire storyline is just a front for a feud between the David and Owen. Since they're both so emotional and potentially evil, they could have fought over anything. Unless they are planning to use the pond to get rid of someone on the Street by having them get drunk and pass out in it? Peter? Carla?
Considering that just under two years ago Mary kidnapped Norris, how come they get on with each other and why didn't Mary get punished?
How come Anna, or anyone for that matter, never hears from Eddie anymore?
After the tram crash, why was everything back to normal within a couple of weeks?
They did mention Hope's birthday - we didn't see it but Fiz talked about having a litle party or something.
Brian did hint o come round to Eileen's and she seemed up for it but Julie got stroppy.
Why does Hailey or anyone else for that matter even give Mad Mary the time of day the way she tried to scupper their wedding after being sacked as wedding planner? The way Norris is still friends with her when he was convinced she tried to kill him in Bronte country is just daft.
When did Rita suddenly get a car? Nothing was mentioned until Tina passed her test? I thought they all used Streetcars.
Why is Eddie never even mentioned like he never existed, not even at Christmas by his son.
About the tram crash anniversary, its because it was all about Peter and just a plot device to get him back on the drink. It was awful, we never even heard about the taxi driver who died, he would be mentioned in real life. And the tram driver could of made a cameo appearance to pay his respects, but it was all about Peter.
The whole exit of Eddie was stupid. Him and Anna where together for over 25 years (considering Gary's age) but she didn't seem to care about him leaving. Load of bollocks, and Eddie (in my opinion) was great and provided some light relief, but he gets axed but other crappy characters get kept on as per usual.
I agree re Eddie -- why on earth have we not heard a peep about him? It's as though he never existed! Then Anna takes up with Owen who has to be one of my least favourite characters in Corrie history. Entirely predictable and a real shame.
It was a bit strange to me that the police were so keen to cooperate with Becky and investigate the so-called false accusation.
I agree re Eileen - a definite missed opportunity of Eileen, Julie & Brian all together at Christmas. Those scenes could have provided some needed comic relief!
Corrie isn't known for recalling characters that are gone, what about Sarah? Very seldom mentioned either. It seems once you leave "the street" you're history, no matter how close you were to any of the remaining characters...I'm still waiting for Mavis to be mentioned, she and Rita were so close during her time on the street.
I agree with Anonymous at 12.21 about former residents in the Street. Sending and receiving Christmas cards is a way for all of us to catch up with friends. Rita could have read out a card from Mavis and had a laugh about it.

I'm sure I heard Anna say something really odd when she was round Fiz's. It was something along the lines of how this was the best Christmas she'd had. Why didn't Gary say anything about his dad being in another country, Gary and Eddie were quite close surely he'd miss him at Christmas.
Katie seems to have been living at Fiz's for too long, as when all the neighbours came round to complain about the trees, she told them to "get out of HER house".
i wish they would of never let eddie go .i hope anna dont get hooked up with owen he is a nasty guy .but i do think owen and mary should hook up and ride out in her carivan and never be heard from again perfect story for 2o12 dont you think .
Instead of spending a fortune on artificial snow, which looked ridiculously out of place, they should have employed more script editors. The frequent continuity errors and characters with poorer memories than goldfish give Coronation Street a real Acorn Antiques feel.
Becky going to the Police was risible. It's a little known fact that on Boxing Day, the Police conduct their investigations in pubs as a form of entertainment for bored punters. Serving up such tripe at this time just shows something is seriously wrong.
Continuity in many cases has become a thing of the past.
Too many characters, too many actors wanting story lines they can get their teeth into makes for writers too busy to be careful, and actors that must have their time off when the story line ends, meaning they disappear unrealistically from our screens for weeks.
I loved C.S. when it had fewer actors, and the writers and actors really knew their characters. The storylines were sensational only occasionally and then you really cared for the character's welfare.
These days sensationalism is something "we've" come to expect, and we have to take the mistakes and inconsistencies along with it.
Not that anybody really cares but I don't think Les has been mentioned by Leanne, Chesney or Kirk - perfect time for references to characters past -receiving Christmas cards.
Leanne did mention that Les was "still touring" somewhere? and that was why he couldn't come to the wedding...I care that Les was mentioned and so many beloved other characters from the past haven't been!
I have been watching some Corrie 1960s and 1970s, and in the wedding episodes characters used to recieve telegrams and cards from old characters, even ones who hadnt appeared for a long time. Even at Emily's second wedding in 1980, she recieved a card from Mr. Swindley her old friend, who hadnt appeared since 1965! Now its all about something going wrong which is so predictable now.
