Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster, has been confirmed as a contestant for the new series of Dancing on Ice.
The new series begins next year on ITV1.
Australian star, Jason Gardiner, will be returning to the show as a judge and skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will also be on the judging panel. Phillip and Holly will host the show having fronted the programme for the first six years between 2006 and 2011.
What this might mean for Sophie's storyline on Corrie remains to be seen.

Brooke looks very grown-up and maybe thinks it's time for a change. Didn't she recently take herself off for drama lessons? Dancing on Ice will showcase some of her other talents. Wouldn't be surprised if Brooke left Corrie to take up new opportunities. She could always come back and she hasn't had much to do for quite a while.
We rarely see Sophie at all. Maybe it would be a good time for Brooke to move on. I think her talent is wasted on Corrie.
