It was a real creepfest this month on Corrie wasn't it? Phelan is hateful, slimy and a great Corrie baddie and is played really well.
Todd is kind of creeping me out too, but again, he's a good "baddie". Bruno Langley has come a long way.
Dennis is gone, at least for now and Gloria's gone with him. Roy's back and trying to find a way to cope with life on his own. It's all part of the State of the Street for this month.

Phelan is a great villan, shame they cant keep him on and get rid of the tiresome Windbag clan, what exactly IS the point of Katie?
I think Phelan holds grudges. He's still mad that Owen & Gary came out the winners last time they had dealings. He wants to get even -and then some! I think he plans to ruin Owen financially and personally, by breaking him up from Anna. If he can take Owen's money & house, it'll be all to the good. What I don't know is whether Valerie is in on it, or is just his stooge. (I keep seeing Judy Holiday in "Born Yesterday" !)
I'm sure Valerie turns a blind eye to what Phelan gets up to, and obeys him completely, in exchange for a comfortable life. Phelan is very believable and his main aims are to make a cuckold of Owen and to wreck his business. My only reservation is how the Windass clan have so readily fallen into his trap. Anna invites Phelan round when she's on her own; Owen is so willing to put the business in his name; Gary believes that Phelan has learnt his lesson and wouldn't mess with them.
Valerie is like a mafia wife...she will turn a blind eye to Phelan's misdeeds to enjoy the life his behaviour provides.
Todd on the other hand is a slimy toad and I wish he would get on the next train to that London. This fan wouldn't miss him one bit! How to ruin a character with no explanation.
Where has the old Anna gone? She would have told Phelan to bog off in no uncertain terms.
