There are soap websites out there in the interwebnet that bring you pictures of Michelle Keegan in her bikini. There are pictures of Eva Price's cleavage. But no, not us. We bring fans the news they desperately, ahem, crave and are therefore happy to report that Mary is going to get a new motorhome in Coronation Street. Heck, yeah.
Mary's new motorhome is going to be an Auto-Trail Frontier Scout motorhome, supplied by Crewe-based dealer, Spinney Motorhomes. It is the second time Spinney Motorhomes has supplied a ’van for use by Mary, who is played by Patti Clare. The first was in 2011. The new motorhome is due to hit our screens in April.

So is it product placement only or are we going to get a story of how Scary Mary acquires a brand new home on wheels?
Perhaps it is time she moved into a flat with someone. This character is a good one played by a very capable actress. They both need something to do on the Cobbles... yet another wasted talent...
How does Mary survive on a day to day basis? She doesnt seem to work apart from the odd shift at Roys or the Kabin and despite her becoming the nanny to Dev's kids, that has been more or less forgotton? The tax on that massive motorhome must be high plus she always seems to be in the Rovers and she doesnt look a stranger to a fish supper.
Mary has a lot of dark secrets. Maybe someday the writers might expose a few of them?
Watching Miriam Margolois on The Graham Norton Show a few weeks back I thought she would be perfect as Mary's mother.
Mary is either independently wealthy or she survives the same way that poor as a churchmouse Auntie Pam (Molly's aunt) survived -- air, fantasies and occasional employment/scam/sandwiches sold from her basket as she went walking down the Cobbles...
Didn't Mary win the original motorhome in a contest?
Fascinating. Oops, I mean fab.
Well at least Mary's not competing for flat space in an already too crowded street.
She's unique alright, a resident and yet not... and this way, when it's her time to leave, instead of the usual black taxi cab, she'll just drive over the cobbles and into the sunset.
Mary seems like a secret rebel. She's probably living in her motor home because she wants to be off the the grid. She probably has some system rigged up whereby she gets leftover food from Roy and Dev, has tapped into someone's electrics, fills buckets of water at Audrey's, and empties her septic tank in the canal.
Now that would be a storyline!
