There's a Coronation Street spoiler in today's Star that says Tracy Barlow and Rob Donovan plan to get wed. Now, note that word 'plan'. It's like Fat Brenda planning to wed Cliff Richard. It just might not happen.
But let's crack on with the spoiler. The Star says that: "In hilarious scenes next month, fans will see Deirdre try to convince Rob that he may be making a big mistake. Deirdre tells him: “I didn’t have you down as the marrying kind, Rob. Are you sure about her? I love our Tracy to bits but she could start a fight in an empty room and she’s hard work. I see our Tracy as being like asparagus – it’s an acquired taste. I love it, but it’s not to everyone’s taste.”
But Rob tells her he wants to take on Tracy and her daughter Amy.
Mr Curry Sauce tells the paper that the wedding might, or might not, go ahead, saying: “This is Tracy after all, nothing ever goes quite to plan. Could she and Rob have another scam up their sleeve?”

I simply cannot buck up the desire to care about this story line.
If they go ahead with the wedding, it will be a bit like other storylines when it was all about getting the presents. I'm sure Tracy will have a massive wedding list and the presents will end up as stock in the shop. That is, if Deirdre doesn't twig what's up and calls a halt to it.
It's a shame he's tied to Tracy because Rob is growing on me. *sigh*
More "hilarious" scenes with Tracy then? Have to ensure I dont fall off my chair with mirth at this dire character that never seems to go away.
How about writing her out instead, the character is clearly past her sell by date as we are meant to think of her antics as "funny", despite her being a cold blooded killer and a nasty nonredeemable individual. No doubt it will consist of her stupid smirking and more scheming.
What? A Corrie wedding that might not happen? Never has that happened in the history of Corrie. This will a first when it does not go as planned. That writing is so, so creative, imagine coming up fresh ideas all the time.
In real-life, Tracey would have minor celebrity status having been tried & convicted of murdering her former common law husband, then released on a " miscarriage of justice". So perhaps she could negotiate an "exclusive" with a local magazine to have this wedding paid for.
I'd SO much rather see Fat Brenda planning to wed Cliff Richard.
funny last night when sophie said, "theres only one tramp in this room" referring to tracy xxxx sophie cracks me up with her comments on the show, she gets some cracking one liners
I think the famous gay writer that is behind Tracy and Sean Tully's lines needs to split from the show first before we can get rid of Tracy-luv. He's got a lot of respect and influence on the inside, and we fans are simply on the out side... Just sayin', no need to give that look, it's true.
Agree...Tracy needs to go. No matter what they do to this character she is non-redeemable IMO.
