Steve Huison, who played Coronation Street's Eddie Windass has been busy since he left the cobbles. One of his many talents is as an artist and he created some wonderful pictures of the Corrie cast. Many of these are now up for sale on ebay to help support The Shoestring Theatre.
The picture shown here for sale is of Alison King, who plays Carla Connor. Check out all of the portraits for sale here.
They really are excellent and along with the portrait have comments from the actor typed up on each one.
PS: Bring back Eddie Windass!

YES, please bring Eddy back!! Steve is quite talented isn't he.
I have one of his artwork of...er... William Roache ;) it's very good
I think ITV should buy all of these and put them in a special museum or something. I love my TV shows and movies but I tend not to gather movie and TV memorabillia -- not that I have anything against others collecting anything that they are passionate about. But these days, I find almost everyone I know is running out of room to store everything from kitchen gadgets to the ordinary nic-nacs/bric-a-bracs, etc. No one these days has room or wall space to hang up stuff like this... ah well... got it off my chest... oh yes, bring back Eddie Windass!!! Maybe if he made the big wages once again being employed in television, the actor himself can reach into his own pocket and give a slice to a struggling theatre...
Those are really very good. Bring back Eddie Windass!!
I don't necessarily want to see him get back with Anna, but I would love to see him get involved in his grandson's life. Being a grandad could be the making of Eddie.
Such a talented man is Steve Huison. Eddie Windass was one of the worst axings in my opinion and him leaving his family was ridiculous. He is never mentioned either which is annoying, what is he doing during all of this baby stuff? Does he know about it?
Yet somehow the likes of Tracy Barlow seem to avoid the axe despite the fact the writers obviously have no clue what to do with her.
I think the producers have their favourites and direct the writers to give them more storylines than they deserve -- thus other actors who are better at their craft and/or play more interesting characters are dreadfully under-utilized. This TV show first needs an overhaul of the higher-ups who KNOW good television... then you can start making changes to the cast...
Like anything else, the malaise this show is suffering from can only be fixed when you start from the top -- the leadership... which is why I fear we still have a ways to go before this show achieves the quality it used to have.
