An evening with Jonathan Harvey

Coronation Street writer Jonathan Harvey's second novel comes out next month. It's called The Confusion of Karen Carpenter and if it's as funny as his first novel All She Wants, it'll be a good one to buy.

Jonathan is launching his new novel and giving a talk at Waterstones book shop in Liverpool.  It's going to be on Thursday 15 August at 7pm. Tickets are £4 (£3 for loyalty card holders) and are available in store, online or by phone on 0151 709 9820.

Here's the science bit from the PR blurb: "Jonathan Harvey is a playwright, screenwriter, novelist and one of Liverpool’s favourite sons! His play “Beautiful Thing” premiered 20 years ago, he created the fabulous “Gimme Gimme Gimme” amongst others and writes for Coronation St. We are delighted to be hosting the launch event for his second novel – don’t miss this one!"

The other night (in Canada) there was one of the best episodes I've ever seen.. The writing was sharp, funny and smart.. I had to rewind to see who the writer was, as it was really outstanding. It was of course, Jonathan Harvey. He's good ~and I can't wait to read his books. Thanks Jonathan.
