ITV are reaping the rewards of a double-whammy on Monday after Coronation Street viewing figures combined with special Royal Baby coverage secured the highest percentage of viewers for the channel.
The extended ITV News special was of course helped by coming during the Corrie double episode, where Hayley discovered she has pancreatic cancer.
But as covered by the Hollywood Reporter, even as the wait for the yet unnamed child's arrival continued, Coronation Street beat BBC One, BBC News and Sky news with an average of 7.77 million viewers.
Let's hope the soap is still getting these great viewing figures when the future King has his own Coronation!
