There's an old radio interview with Pat Phoenix, who played Coronation Street's Elsie Tanner, which was re-broadcast today on the Ed Doolan show on Radio BBCWM.
You can listen to it here on the iPlayer for the next 7 days.
Pat's interview comes on just after 1 hour and 2 minutes, after the Coronation Street theme tune plays. It's wonderful, listen to it now.
She talks about her reasons for leaving Corrie as Eilsie and slams her Corrie co-stars of the time who rubbished colleagues in the papers.
With thanks to @PeterMediaPR for alerting me to the interview.
