Video and Pics: Coronation Street at Manchester Pride 2012

Coronation Street was out in full force for the parade at Manchester Pride 2012 on Saturday August 25th.

Here's Gorgeous Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price, looking ship-shape. There's more pictures of Catherine in the Daily Mail online, where they seem to be obssessed with her. Every time she gets a new frock, they do a double page spread. It's rather bizarre.

Here's the Coronation Street float with this year's theme of Queered Science, paying tribute to the father of computer science, Alan Turing.

There's a video of Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) at Manchester Pride, on the ITV news website, which is worth a little look. And an absolutely gorgeous picture of Catherine and Antony together.

Here's a YouTube of the float going by - it's only 35 seconds long so well worth a look.

Here's Cherylee Houston (Izzy Armstrong) looking lovely..

...as is Debbie Rush (Anna Windass).  The man behind Debbie is Coronation Street writer Damon Rochefort.

And here's Catherine again on the float with an image of iconic Corrie lady Ena Sharples.

Here's Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster) with Catherine on the Corrie float.

Here's Debbie Rush (Anna Windass) with Toby Sawyer (Marcus' boyfriend Aiden) and Jenni McAlpine (Fiz)

And on the decks is DJ Craig Charles (Lloyd Mullaney)

And here's Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) with Debbie Rush (Anna Windass) and Toby Sawyer (Marcus' boyfriend Aiden).

And here's Paula Lane (Kylie Platt) on the float too.

Great stuff!! I think i'd rather see Catherine Tyldsley than Kym Marsh or last year's focus, Michelle Keegan. They seem to pick an actress and you see her face absolutely everywhere! CT is really gorgeous and comes across quite genuine.

I was *there* And it was awesome!!!
I got pictures and video.
Just one REALLY TINY problem... video mode on my camera was set on 'mute all audio'

*scream*

My mother, on the other hand, didn't recognise any of the cast.
"That's not Sean is it?"
"yes it is!"
"You sure?"
"well, they're not going to appear how they look on the show, are they?"
"..... well, I dunno....."

Ok, it's blown my mind that I've had pretty much an awesome 'sci-fi' sort of day - sort of 'Red Dwarf meets Delorean' in a back to the future kind of way.
Totally awesome stuff. Can't wait for next years parade already :-D

Is Toby Sawyer staying on the Street for a while longer. If he's featured on the Coronation Street float, is he a regular now?

I think Sophie Websters t shirt is awful. Was this her attempt at trying to draw attention to herself?

Beth I agree Brooke looks like a cheap attention seeking litte tart. "Eva" however looks gorgeous as always.

Get over yourself. It's just a t-shirt.

Indeed, it is just a t-shirt. I think some of the comments above are uncalled for. She's young, she's fun, she's at Manchester Pride.

Hear, hear, Flaming Nora!

As a gay man, I think the T shirt is inappropriate. She doesn't wear clothes like that to awards ceremonies. It's crass.

I agree it looks ridiculous. Have a little class please.

The t-shirt is tacky. But I guess if she wanted people to look twice, then it works! Everyone else is dressed so nicely ... and her "look" might be more appropriate if she were out clubbing.

I want Sophie Websters teeshirt...
reason: everyone seems to think it's about the boobage, it's not. I want to prove it.
:-D

And yes, my mother wouldn't be able to recognise any of the cast if they'd got off the float and stood next to her. I'm having issues with that two days on :-p
