Sad news today is that actor and singer Brian Hibbard has died at the age of 65. Brian was lead singer of the band Flying Pickets and then moved into acting.
He appeared in Coronation Street as mechanic Doug Murray over a period of nine
months in 1992 to 1993 when he vanished from the soap after stealing and
selling Mike Baldwin's car. He also went out with Deirdre Barlow.
Listen to an interview here with Brian about his time on Corrie.
