How many times have we had this well worn story? Not enough it seems. And we are to believe that Leanne will drag Simon to live at Victoria court, his third home in less than a month. RUBBISH.
I know what you mean, Nora, It really bugs me too. It doesn't take much, it's all documented in books and files. Maybe Nick should have added "Since i grew up and changed my face"
Caucasian women in western society can be 'forced' to have an abortion? Did it happen without her consent, against her will?
Was she strapped down with leather straps to the abortion table as she she screamed NO! at the surgeons?
- If she was persuaded (against her better judgement maybe) then presumably there's culpability on Leanne's part. Why was she unable to refuse and say NO?
Whatv terrible and dastardly punishment awaited her if she refused to comply?
Good point, Danny. But, when Leanne found out she was pregnant Nick not only demanded that she have an abortion but he then told everyone she had miscarried the baby before leaving her and trolling off to Canada. And now he says "I've always wanted to be a dad?" Oh no he hasn't!
It would have been such a poignant moment if Nick had said he bitterly regretted what happened when they were young.
It was 15 years - half their lifetimes - ago (well, maybe Leanne's. NuNick is about 57, isn't he?). I'd say that was enough time for him to repent at leisure. Seeing Leanne as a great mum would remind him what he'd missed.
It's annoying when the writers try and re-write history! And I'm not just talking about Leanne and Nick.
Leanne has been horrible lately! Trying to argue with Peter in front of Simon and throwing out comments like, "If you keep on being vile to me, you can forget about seeing Simon." You can't use a child like that Leanne!
But going back to the re-writing issue, recently, Leanne was having a conversation with Stella about being married to an alcoholic and how she put up with everything from Peter, until she found out about Carla. She went on to say something like, "There was no way I was going to keep the bed warm for another woman." I thought to myself, if I remember correctly, when Leanne found out about Peter and Carla's affair, she told Peter they should give their marriage another go. He was the one who refused because he loved Carla and said that it was her that he wanted to be with, not Leanne.
Are we expected to forget that??
