In response to our poll of who you think Tracy Barlow's attacker is, there were some very interesting comments left on the Coronation Street blog.
Lots of you think that Claire Peacock did it - and the more I think about it, the more I'm hoping that she did.
After all, Claire was a friend to Tracy in the Charlie Stubbs' days, and Tracy took her for a fool, saying that she had 'the personality of a frying pan'.
I'm just hoping that if it was Claire who attacked Tracy, that she gave her a wallop around the head with that frying pan too.
Cue Cluedo: "It was Mrs Peacock, in the Barlow's back yard, with the frying pan, your honour!"

They keep having Claire and Tracy in confrontations. It has to be for a reason. Thus, Soap Law dictates...
I'm certain it's Clurr, and good on 'er. Insulting the dead is a massive no-no.
I'm pretty convinced it was Claire, otherwise there would have been no reason (plotwise) for Tracy to be so nasty to Claire re: Ashley's death.
Also Claire looked guilty when the police came into the pub to talk to Steve.
Also, she's leaving!
Brilliant in making it Clair the culprit -- her exit will be with a BANG then! Well, I'm hoping secretly somehow she'll escape justice and abscond to South America with the boys...set up her own pub or butcher shop...
The synopses on my TIVO actually say that Claire is the attacker, and apparently we have a "seige of the Rovers" to look forward to very soon, where doubtless Becky will try to protect her friend.
Fair enough, & I wouldn't blame her, but I really hope they don't blame it on any kind of "mental health problem". I'll be writing a letter of complaint if they do (not that it'll make any difference).
It is looking more and more like it's Claire. A real crime of passion. She's very cut up about losing Ashley, though I think more for the boys sake. And if anyone has mental health problems, it's Miss Thing (Copyright Tvor). I just don't understand why there isn't a resident psychologist on Corrie. Shouldn't there be one at the health center? You'd think that after the tram crash, the doctor would have brought in a grief counselor. The problem with MT (Miss Thing again) is that she hides her worst devious plots from everyone but her victim. But towards Claire it was out in the open. Cow!
Whoever did it - I hope they get away with it! A good service was performed for all of us!

The only way I want it to be Clurr is if she can plead some kind of self defence or temporary insanity due to Ashley's death and Tarty Barlow's continuous taunting of her, so she can get off and leave the street with her boys.
Maybe she went to lunge at Clurr and her hooker shoes slipped on the cobbles and she hit her own head.
I did have my suspicions of Mary when Tarty Barlow gave her what for in the rovers and Mary gave her a look reminicent of something out of Phsyco.
Good point, maggie muggins. I thought the Doc looked alarmed and out of his depth when John consulted him. Almost thought he was going to ercommend talking to a priest let alone a therapist.
Really think Clurr stands a good chance of a suspended sentance under the circumstances. And there's no way she'd let Becky take the rapp for this, so a confession would go in her favour. Still think France is beckoning her & the boys.
(What's Matt Ramsden going to say though? It will mean an end to all of those access visits to Joshua, which clearly only happen at night under cover of darkness ...)
Ok... guys.. come on... Morse eat your heart out.. IT WAS MARY.... !! Tracy insulted Mary at the bar infront of everyone.. Mary did it...
