In Coronation Street last week, Sarah took a phone call from Bethany in Milan who said she wasn't coming home any time soon. This, along with the fact that actor Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany, has been away from the show doing this ... https://coronationstreetupdates.blogspot.co.uk/2017/09/lucy-fallon-to-star-in-new-celebrity.html ... made us wonder if she would be returning at all.
Well, on Tuesday night this week, Lucy picked up the Best Actress award at the Inside Soap Awards 2017. You can see all the winners here.
And she told Hello! Magazine that Bethany will be returning to Coronation Street and said this about what the future may bring for the character too:
"I think Bethany hasn’t recovered, and won't for a while after what's happened to her, so there's going to be a lot of repercussions from that. She is still really sad so not a lot of happiness yet, but hopefully there will be."
