What a disappointment Dave turned out to be, a dinosaur in fact in his attitudes to women.His film tastes are not too inspiring either. 'Anything with martial arts' he states, which is OK, then he adds the charming addition of ''owt mucky'. Further impressing the nation's women he says he doesn't really do conversation. Then, this Don Juan of a seducer says, 'Shut up, sup up, let's get a wriggle on'. What woman could resist? And then - Kirk to the rescue! A true gent if ever there was one. Shame about the punch in the face and the flat battery. So easily impressed is Kirk with the 'depth' of Beth's comments. A new factory romance begins.
Is anyone else finding Tommy a little irritating? All that macho posturing about another man's baby! Come on Tommy. Why was Rita sobbing? Have I missed something? It's not ideal to be a surrogate but it's not that bad is it? Did anyone else wonder just how much money Rita has stashed away? Rita is understandably confused about Tina's motives. As she says, 'The world moves on and sometimes I can't keep up with it'. She does though lay it on the line and tells Tommy to find his backbone.
Nice swipe from Dev innocently inquiring as to whether Karl can read and write. Does Dev still want Sunita back? Not so sure he does.

I don't get Rita's blubbering either.Tina would rather go through 9 months of pregnancy, have the kid..stretch marks etc instead of taking the $ from Rita and paying her back instead? How about Rita co-signing at the bank for her? This is really such a stupid carry-on.
How creepy like are the Windass/Armstrong clan becoming, more like the Munsters. Sitting in the Rovers like a wake of vultures, all unattractive and watching their prey the young girl Tina It made Froster shudder it did. Like something out of a horror movie.

Dumb storyline. Rita was more than willing to get Tina and Tommy out of their debt mess .... and Tina says no??? I'd much rather be in debt to Rita than to the evil Kirsty.

And call me crazy ... but I thought Tina co-owned the flat with Jason. Have I forgotten something?

Last night's episodes left me feeling very confused, like I'd missed something too. Rita's reaction to the news was so OTT, Tommy alternating between macho man and blub machine was, indeed, irritating, and how many times do we have to have "We're finished!" before they get back together again? I really can't care about Tina and Tommy at all - and I have tried, honestly. I will say again that the main problem with this whole storyline is how rushed it is. People need time to think on, do a little research even, before taking these kinds of decisions and this plot is just moving them along so quickly that it's difficult to keep up. Did enjoy the Kirk and Beth storyline though. And I were Sunita I'd have kicked Karl out by now - what a waste of space!-NN
I don't think Tina co-owned the flat. She certainly didn't put any money towards it. They were going to fix it up and sell it and share the money but they broke up. Probably never had anything in writing otherwise she would have been in for a share of the rent as well wouldn't she? And possibly, after the tram destroyed the original flat, that was it for Tina's involvement. Jason had it rebuilt with the insurance money and probably she had no connection from there on.

I also think people are forgetting that this is not Tina's debt, its Tommy's so if they break up then she is more or less debt free. The bus stop scene was beyond pathetic yesterday. I am fed up with the pair of them moping around.
And Beth's date used to be such a nice guy when he was a policeman at Sun Hill station.
If we consider that the debt it Tommy's and Tina breaking up with him would leave her debt-free, that Tommy is dead set against Tina beinga surrogate, and Tina gave up her opportunity to get money from Rita, I suspect there is a much bigger agenda that Tina is working on, here.
Yes, I really couldn't care less about Tina and Tommy, so bad things happening to them really don't have the impact they're clearly meant to. But perhaps that's my age! I'm 27 not 17 (or 14 more likely for fans of these two)
