Roy is quirky, shy, unable to show his emotions easily, fiercely loyal, slightly obsessed, highly intelligent, and handles change with a good dollop of anxiety. He had a lonely life before he met Hayley, his soul mate, but he knows who he is and seems content with his lot. With that in mind, I bring you a character study of Royston Cropper.

Aaah, this is lovely Tvor. Roy is my absolutely favourite character and David Nielson plays him so sensitively. The scene of Roy and Hayley finally 'getting together' at the airport is one of my favourite ever Corrie moments!
Thanks! that's one of my favourites too. also at their second wedding, Roy's speech to Hayley. And there are a couple of heartfelt scenes he had with Becky as well that had me in tears.
I loved their wedding and was a bit miffed when Mary was starting to (try) to worm her way between the two but the writers were smart this time..letting Roy and Haley be just who they are!!
