Coronation Street win RTS Award for Best Soap

Coronation Street has won the award for Best Soap and Continuing Drama, beating EastEnders and Emmerdale.

The award was given at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards 2012, held last night in London at the Grosvenor Hotel and hosted by Rob Brydon.
