It may be of note for Canadians that Corrie will run for an hour from 6:30pm to 7:30pm EST starting September 5th, 2011 and this is supposedly ongoing until next year. It will take two years of that format to catch up and be in sync with the current Corrie.
Actually, getting caught up at the rate of about a month per calendar month, Canada will be caught up about this time next year as we're about 10 months behind at the moment. We're just about to get Jack Duckworth's death which happened in November last year.
I hate Corrie being shown on any Sunday, as I have my teenage son on a Saturday and Sunday as he lives away. This means (because he does not watch it at all) that I have to miss that Sunday episode(s) and I cannot even record it as he uses the DVD for us both watching films together. This means on the Monday, I am totally lost off with an episode which is quite annoying, as i normally never miss an episode if possible. Even when I am on holiday, I record it, but when I have my Son, it causes problems. This would have been much easier for me if they had shown an episode on the Tuesday instead. I cannot even catch up with the following weekend omnibus, as this too causes problems for me.
@Anonymous You could always catch up on Corrie online with ITV Player, surely. In fact,I believe ITV posts that evening's episode within 30 minutes after transmission. Catch-up is a breeze!
I quite welcome Corrie being shown on a Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed the episodes of Sylvia locking Norris in the toilet, and I think Norris, Mary, Sylvia and Emily were very funny and I would like to see a lot more storylines involving them. I have to say I am fed up with Fizz.
