Catherine Tyldesley plays the stroppy Eva Price on Coronation Street. This week, her character, Eva, hooks up with troublemaker Kylie Platt to ...er... cause trouble with Kylie as the instigator, naturally. Catherine has a blog on ITV.com and in the newest post, she talks about getting ready for early scenes and working with Paula Lane who plays Kylie.
At the time she wrote this (though it's only just been posted) she'd just been asked to appear on ITV This morning (which we blogged here). She thinks Paula is a great actress (so do I!) and really seems to love her job. She says "This job just gets better and better…wonder if they’ll throw in a topless Jason/Eva scene and really make my day??? No? Damn!"

If this is all we are going to see with new actors, then I might as well one day, switch channels and not support ITV ... To prepare myself for the worst, does anyone know what side BBC1 is on?
Corrie has become a big old bitchathon. The strong women who used to be on the streets have now become reduced to mewling and hand wringing(Fiz), bowing and scraping(Gail), OTT crazies (Becky,Kylie,Eva,) or Yoda like spouters of random one liners (Rita, Emily, Ken). It's so East Enders that I might as well just watch that.
@Anonymous, Ken, a strong Coronation Street Yoda woman. Ha ha ha! Don't forget Tracy in the crazies. However, we do have Sally, Leanne and Eileen holding up more than their share at home. Audrey and Carla run their own businesses. Even quiet Hayley is Roy's rock. The strong women are still there, it's just that the crazies are hogging the camera. I'm with you. Fix Fiz and cull the nuts.
