Mother-in-law from hell joins Coronation Street

Actress Gwen Taylor is joining Coronation Street son as Carla Connor's future muture in law after Frank's parents turn up on the Street

The Sun reports today that Frank appoints his mum Anne to act on his behalf at Underworld after Carla refuses to have anything to do with him after he rapes her.  Frank's mum Anne then sets about weasling her way into unsuspecting Carla's heart - as Frank pulls the strings to bring her down.

Eventually one morning Anne turns up with heavies who set about stripping the factory of half of everything - including sewing machines and stock.

Workers try to stop the men while frantic Carla rings a lawyer. But she is told that Frank is within his rights to remove goods representing his share of the business.

Distraught Carla has no option but to send staff home, leaving big orders unfinished and herself facing financial ruin.

I secretly hope the sewing machines are thrown into the canal. He should have taken all the machines and left the stock, worked it out the same in overall value.

Another old harridan, and why East Enders style do the faymellee have to be introduced as well. There are far too many characters already.
