We already know that Noel Gallagher is a huge fan of Corrie and now he say's he turned down the chance to appear on the show. The former Oasis frontman has revealed he and partner Sara MacDonald are Corrie addicts and producers have been keen to sign him up to appear.He said: “Sara and I are obsessed with Coronation Street. I’ve been asked to appear loads of times but I’ve always turned it down.”
The singer previously said he had an idea for a cameo he could play in the show so he could beat up David Platt. Jack P Shepherd, who plays David, said: “When Noel was asked on the radio what he'd like to do if he was in the show he said he said he's like to punch that David Platt fella! I love his music - Oasis are good. But it might be a little bit weird if he turned up on the cobbles. The audience would be wondering 'what's Noel Gallagher doing in Weatherfield?' "
