Spoiler of the week - and it's only Monday - goes to The Sun who reveal that Gail Platt's new husband Joe will be bumped off in an insurance scam that goes horribly wrong.
Apparantly, Joe decides to fake his own death to avoid his crippling debt problems and leave wife Gail with the proceeds from his life insurance. But as Joe takes the boat to the Lake District and prepares to jump off his boat, a strong gust of wind blows its sail pole, which knocks him unconscious and into the freezing water. Ah well, I guess it was too much to expect for Gail to be happy for long.

Hmm...I'm confused, will Gail know that he's going to fake his own his own death? It doesn't sound like something she would go along with, but then again it would seem really harsh of Joe not to tell her what he's planning.
That's what I wondered too - will Gail know about the plan?
Honestly, I'm trying to make myself care...I don't like Joe's character and the sooner we see the back of him the better, at least for me.
I'm finding it difficult to care about this storyline too. I can't really see myself feeling sorry for Joe, Tina or David. Gail, maybe but she has had so much tragedy it is tedious now.
I swear Gail's head is getting smaller while her hair is getting bigger.
I agree Laura, I am thoroughly bored with Joe and all his angst now, he could have been such a good character as well.
