I'm not sure I'm liking the sound of this and I truly hope the tabloid rumour from today's Mirror is wrong.
The paper reports that Tyrone and Fiz are going to be caught up in a bit of a scandal after Tyrone has a fling with someone on the Street while Fiz is away looking after her mum Cilla.
And which lovely lady on the cobbles is Tyrone going to sleep with? Well, according to the Mirror, it'll be Gemma. I know!
The Mirror says that Tyrone and Gemma's one-night stand will leave all the neighbours defending Fiz, leaving Gemma to fight off abuse as she takes refuge at Rita's house.
Tyrone and Gemma's fling comes after her bust-up with posh boyfriend Henry Newton as Gemma discovered he made a bet with his awful friend Hugo to date her.

Disappointing if this is true. Please, don't give us another baby storyline! Also, it would put paid to any romance between Gemma and Chesney, who would obviously be on his sister's side.

Oh no! This would be another glaring example of the writers having someone behave totally out of character. Many people on the Street would have flings - - - but not Tyrone. He would never do that to Fizz, just as Roy would never have done that to Hayley.

This makes no sense. Have Gemma and Tyrone ever even spoken to each other? Plus it would be entirely out of character for Tyrone. I am so fed up of all this unlikely bed-hopping.
Ugh, please no. Very lazy storytelling. We deserve better.
After Tyrone’s reaction to Molly’s affair with Kevin? It’s about as likely as Yasmine having a fling with Simon.

Just changing the subject a bit, why is Fiz still away looking after her Mum? That jungle programme finished early in December, she should've been back weeks ago.

Noooo! Say it isn't so! Ty would never cheat on FIzz - especially after the fallout of the Kevin / Molly affair. He would not risk the family he fought so hard to get.
Let him and Fizz get married already - this has to be the longest Street engagement ever! Let them be one of the two happy couples on the Street (ever notice that in the past few years there has been no such thing?) - the other happy couple right now being Sally and Tim

Tyrone isn't the cheating kind as others have said and why would he turn to Gemma? Have these two characters ever so much as spoken to each other?So he resisted the much more attractive Maria and Alya(who lived with them before joining Luke and Kate) and sleeps with Gemma, of all people?
The current scriptwriters would do well to watch Classic Corrie and realise that affairs should be the exception rather than the rule. I've lost track of who has slept with who, and frankly I don't care. Despite watching every episode, I struggle to remember the names of some of the characters because they are so bland.
Corrie was great when it relied on strong characters that you cared about.
Not to change the subject, why & when did Liz leave the Rovers to return to the clinic? Did I miss something important?
