Julia Goulding interview: "Thank you for believing in Shona"
In this week's Inside Soap magazine, there are interviews with all of the winners from the recent Inside Soap Awards 2017.
Picking up the award for Best Newcomer was Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Ramsey in Coronation Street. She tells Inside Soap in an interview this week how giddy she was to receive the award.
"I can't stop smiling. I've been a massive fan of Coronation Street my whole life, so to get a job on the show and then be named Inside Soap's Best Newcomer... I'm just pinching myself! I really want to thank readers for believing in her, especially seeing as she followed such a huge character as Kylie. There were some big shoes to fill for David's next partner, so I'm grateful that people have given Shona a chance."
Asked if she thought that perhaps one day killer Clayton might be released from prison in a miscarriage of justice, Shona said: "Watch out, David!"

Has anyone other than me noticed that some actresses look prettier with their "real" faces on (as in Corrie) than they do all glammed up for the award shows? I have noticed this particularly with regard to the actresses who play Shona and Sinead.
Sorry to burst your bubble Julia, but Shona hasn't filled Kylie's shoes and never will. The sooner Shona leaves for good, the better it will be.
@Where's Emily. Your post is a little harsh. Everyone can be redeemed.
