The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Robert struggles to accept that there’s something wrong with his health.
Hiding his head in the sand, he refuses to go to his doctor’s appointment. Michelle’s horrified when she finds out how long Robert has been suffering and takes matters into her own hands. She arranges an appointment with a urologist for Robert and it’s recommended that he has a scan.
The urologist breaks the news to Robert that the lump is most likely malignant and that they’ll have to remove his testis an operation as soon as possible.
Robert hides this from Michelle. Will he agree to the operation? In a bid to forget about his illness, he heads to the casino and loses every penny in a poker game.

Another medical storyline?ho-hum!
Why do I get the feeling that this will become more about Michelle's 'suffering' than about Robert just like Steve's depression storyline was?
I think the writers are scraping for storylines that will make Michelle seem sympathetic bus so far they're failing.
It would be better if we actually cared about Robert as a character...but he's got no redeeming qualities. Didn't really miss him when he was in jail..not that interested now....how about a storyline with a character we like..Sean hasn't had a good one since he was dumped by the vicar
