Funny,Billy never seemed to be 'suffering pangs of guilt' when he presided over Deirdre's funeral or has a pint in the Rovers now owned by Peter.
I can't wait to see Eileen's reaction when she finds out her husband let Michael die and her son's boyfriend murdered her neighbor's daughter.
As for Todd,he seems to be the go to guy for murder confessions.first Sarah about Callum's death and now Billy.
I would think it's relatively straightforward for writers to tone down an OTT character so that viewers eventually accept them: Bethany, Gemma, Rosie. It doesn't seem to work the other way ie boring, bland characters being revved up to make them interesting: Robert, Billy. I predict Toyah will get an 'explosive' storyline soon to give her some oomph. It won't work - just like this new back story about Billy isn't going to convince. Stuck-on demons are always going to seem contrived and unbelievable.
And what will that revelation lead to? Ken’s next stroke? Peter’s relapse into alcoholism? Adam’s newest revenge? Gee, I don’t really want to see any of those stories.
Susan did die in a car accident though so I think the show is playing fast and loose with the word "kill" It could mean anything from him being drunk and crashing into her-an actual crime-to him not paying attention as he crossed a street and her swerving to avoid him and crashing her car-bad luck.
What are the odds? Pretty good on Coronation Street! Isnt interesting how after all of this time on the street Billy confesses to Todd (he may have caused the accident which killed Susan..kill? murder? Naw)...Is that not the same thing that happened to Eileen when she fell for Ernie Bishop's murderer? He ingratiated himself on the street and then admitted who he was. Hmmm....is Billy going away? Has God forgotten him? Has he forgotten God?
What in the world are they drinking at these meeting where the writers come up with these freakin' idiotic storylines?
You know what I'm waiting for? 1. Eileen to figure out that she has chosen yet again another loser. 2. That Todd's dad would turn up on the street and we find out what really happened in London.
As for the rest of the lameassed storylines...HOHUM...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz
Im sure it was 100% certain susan died in a car crash so if her cause of death turns out to be anything else the show will turn into a farce like eastenders
